Rosenmeier Forum: "Access, Equity and Appropriations: The Financing and the Future of Higher Education in the State of Minnesota."

Learn more about the future of financing higher education during an upcoming Rosenmeier Forum.
It's called "Access, Equity and Appropriations: The Financing and the Future of Higher Education in the State of Minnesota," and it is set for Wednesday, April 1 from Noon to 1 p.m., in the Chalberg Theatre at CLC's Brainerd campus.
This forum comes just as the Minnesota Legislature is about to make its key recommendations and decisions for the funding of higher education in the state budget for the next two years.

Speaking will be:
* Rep. Bud Nornes, chair of the Minnesota House Committee on Higher Education Policy and Finance.
* Vice Chancellor of MnSCU Laura King, who for many years has been the key budget administrator for MnSCU.
Dr. Toyia Younger, Learning Outcomes and Successful Learning specialist
Stick around until the end, when the three speakers will answer your questions.
"This topic could not be more timely. Minnesota lawmakers are working out details on this effort as we speak and we'll get in on the ground floor of this very important issue," said Rosenmeier executive director Steve Wenzel.
Rosenmeier president Eric Klang added, “how we pay for higher education in Minnesota is vital for the future of our state.”
The forum is being held during the day (instead of the typical evening sessions) to make it more available to CLC students and faculty. Community members are still welcome to attend.
The Rosenmeier Center for State and Local Government is sponsoring a Forum on the important topic of the funding of MnSCU and higher education in the State of Minnesota.
