Dr. Larry Lundblad, president of CLC, opened the program stressing the importance of building a portfolio of active involvement in as many college-related organizations and functions as one can make time for amid academic pursuits. Job-seekers with degrees and a record of engagement through honor groups improve prospects with potential employers, he said.
Julie Jo Larson, a graduating member of the CLC Psychology Club and Psi Beta, echoed the president’s theme, adding that students owe it to themselves to research all manner of educational resources – especially scholarships to finance college degree course work.
Martha Kuehn, Psi Beta adviser, led the inductees with an oath pledging their participation in the chapter, which serves as a prelude to a four-year college or university society for psychology majors.
Burnett is an Honors Associate in Arts degree aspirant and Psychology Club president.
Seipp is an AA degree candidate and member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society as well as Psi Beta. She is a 2000 Brainerd High School graduate.
Hausken is a Criminal Justice Associate in Applied Science honor student.
Ladouceur is an AA degree honor student and 2005 Aitkin High School graduate.
Pikula is a CLC psychology instructor.
