Eagles tribute performance added

Patrick Spradlin, Central Lakes College Theatre Cultural Arts Series producer, has announced the addition of a second performance of "Takin' It to the Limit: A Tribute to the Eagles." The added show will be at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, May 13 in the Chalberg Theatre on the Brainerd campus of CLC. The show is performed by The Fabulous Armadillos, a band made up of musicians and singers from the St. Cloud and Twin Cities music scene. "The Armadillos were at CLC in March with their Motown show, and really wowed the audience," said Spradlin. "After that show, the sales for their Eagles show took off. We're sold out of all but a few rush ticket seats for the 7:30 show, and the concert is a month away. It seemed like there is a demand to be met here." The show features songs from one of the most popular bands in the world. Audiences will be treated to renditions of such favorites as "Hotel California", "Take it Easy", "The Long Run", "Desperado", and many others. "When I came up with the idea to add a second show at 9:30, a lyric from the Eagles song 'Heartache Tonight' came to mind," said Spradlin. "The lyric is 'Some people like to stay out late, some folks can't hold out that long' ... Now that there are two shows, both kinds of people can be accommodated," he said. Tickets for The Fabulous Armadillos' "Takin' It to the Limit'" show are available by calling the CLC Theatre Box Office at 218-855-8199, or can be purchased online at www.clctickets.com
