State Capitol

Occupational Skills Program students and instructors joined Central Lakes College President Larry Lundblad at the Minnesota State Capitol recently. President Lundblad was in St. Paul for administrative meetings and arranegd to meet the CLC entourage. The 23 OSP students and instructors John Wallin, Itty Newgord, and Patty Sloan toured facilities and met with State Rep. John Ward during a long and busy day that included an afternoon-evening stop at the Mall of America. The Capitol tour was a first for most students, as was the mall adventure. The students enjoyed learning about the history of the political epicenter of our state. Other educational excursions throughout the academic year include the state fair, the Duluth Goodwill Center, and the DNR fisheries walleye egg stripping at Pine River.
